Q. Should I still participate in the Deferred Comp Plan even though the Match Plan has been suspended?
A. Yes, you should still contribute to the Plan through payroll deductions. Whether you're starting your career, or nearing retirement, the Delaware Deferred Compensation Program can help you reach your investment goals.

Q. Can I stop my payroll deductions to the Deferred Comp Plan and how would I do that?
A. Yes, you can stop your deductions at anytime for any reason by calling Fidelity at 800-343-0860.

Q. Now that the Match Plan is suspended, can I withdrawal my money?
A. No, you are not able to access any money in the Plan until you leave state service.

Q. When the Match Plan is reinstated, do we need to wait another 6 months?
A. No, you will automatically get the Match payments once the Plan is reinstated as long as you are making payroll deductions.

Q. Will we be notified when the Match Plan is reinstated?
A. Yes, notification will be sent to all active plan participants.

Q. I received the letter about the suspension of the Match Plan. Why did this happen?
A. The Joint Finance Committee and the Legislature voted to suspend the Match Plan to pass a balanced budget. The Match Plan is contingent upon funding from the General Assembly.

Q. What happens to money already in the Match Plan?
A. The money already in your Match account will remain invested in the investment options that you have chosen. You are able to make changes to those investment options at anytime by calling Fidelity at 800-343-0860.

Q. When will the Match Plan be reinstated?
A. The Match Plan is contingent upon funding from the General Assembly. The suspension is in effect until lifted or extended in the FY 2010 Budget.
